program to print CD labels and covers

Hi

I was wondering what program is good for printing out CD covers. I have been using Nero Cover Designer but I find it lacking. I would like something that I can stick in a CD and have it look up the information on the CDDB or FreeCDDB and load in the information and be able to print it out as easily as possible. I would also like it if it could read the individual tracks of a CD stored as mp3s in one folder and be able to determine which CD it is and again print out the covers with the track info.

Thanks

You can use Feurio! for that. Even if you don't use it for burning, it includes a great cover editor, better than the Nero one. It automatically fills in the names from the current project in the CD-Manager tool. Feurio is an unlimited demoversion with no restrictions except a nag screen.

I tried Feurio and I had a few problems with it - it really did not strike me as being much better than Nero's.

I also tried Acoustica CD Label Maker which is ok- It still seems like it needs some work to make it more versitile but it will print out some quick labels if you are not too picky about layout. It supports I think it said 95 or 99% of all pre-made forms which is nice since I often have differnet labels from different manufactures and Feurio didn't support any. Nero does support most but not all. Anyhow it is a decent program which gets a thumbs up until someone tells me about a better program.

Hehe ... Feurio and Nero Cover Editors used to be the same with earlier Nero 5.0.x.x versions ... Nero Cover Designer has been developped whereas Feurio's has not.

I can get along very well with Nero's Editor when using the templates for pre-manufactured inlays and labels ... and Nero has FreeDB/CDDB support as well - you can insert a freely formattable tracklist/file list at any position on any item if you want to if you created a nero project before.

The mp3 you mentioned is not within the functionality of any cover editor I know of but there are programs that allow to print out directory structures ...

Last but not least, you could use Corel Draw (or even M$ Word) to create individual CD covers as well ...
The name was Plex The Ripper, not Jack The Ripper

I stopped putting labels on our CDs recently,  now just using a marker. Found that the CDs with labels were too tight of a fit in our car's CD player. Factory made CDs not a problem.

Me, too... I have the same observation as you.  Feurio 1.66, covereditor  is somewhat outmoded because it has never undergone further development for a year now.  I think in time it will  improve. Just figuring out those measurements that would fit in your different labels is a task in itself. With Nero Cover Designer your CD Label brand is listed there.  I think pretty soon we'll see Nero Cover Designer going straight to CDDB or FreeDB by itself. I tried Surething, Acoustica, Neato, but I still like Nero Cover.
