Fastest Winamp 2.x AVS plugin

i'm running WA2 + Winamp Advanced Vis Studio (the latest, 2.61) on a P3-500 in the living room on a TV. i was wondering if there was a version of AVS that was pretty compatible with most of today's AVS presets yet faster than this one, or if they are only slower as you go back...?

edit: i know 2.0a1 and 2.3.3 don't work but that's all i have

Pretty much the only changes they put into AVS these days are speed-ups and bug-fixes. There's little speed decrease (hell, little speed change, even) between versions.
