Id3 Tags ?

i think @ the moment foobar is the best player, but he has one big disadvantage:

foobar cant read ID3 Tags ...why?

Winamp, Windows Media Player, Sonic also Windows itself (FileInfo->Details),
can read ID3 Tags.

My problem now is i have lots of gigs of mp3s and each ID3 Tag is valid but foobar cant read it. Also Title Formatting is no solution for the problem...
cause i cant respond a variable that gives me the "ParentFolder", the Artists.

my Filestructure is:

Artist0                    1.Level
------Album0            2.Level
-------------Track0    3.Level
-------------Track1
------Album1
-------------Track0
Artist1
-------Album0
.
.
.

is a solution of the problem possible?
can/will foobar be able to read ID3 Tags?

Thx, for any info!

foobar has built in support for id3v1.

For id3v2, install foo_id3v2 component.

Foobar2000 can read id3v1 tags, but not id3v2. Use ifoo_id3v2 plugin

how can i configure my foobar to display the id3 tag fields instead of the filename (formatsettings) in the playlist?

leave format strings as they are. select all tracks then right click -> database -> reload info from file
