LAME 3.99.5z - Where to download?

Hello everyone.  I've searched this forum for this particulary binary for Windows, and I found the original posting about it, but the download link is now dead.

Does anyone happen to know where I can find the special version of LAME 3.99.5z?

Seems to be a version that I managed to completely miss, sorry! I'm not sure that the source was ever made available which might explain it.

John, It's okay, no worries.  I just came across that forum topic and was a little intriguied.  I've actually browed around your files archive where I found the very helpful 64 bit version of LAME 3.98.4 and 3.97 (I actually prefer these two the best and then 3.99.5).

Speaking of 3.99.5, could you please tell me what the lame 3.99.5 test1 and test2 binaries are exactly?  I've downloaded them and ran LAME ina  command prompt but they just show as LAME 3.99.5.  What makes them so special?

Sorry to disappoint, but I have no idea what they related to. I don't have a particular record relating to them and my memory doesn't stretch to that!! They seem to be around the time 3.99.5 was released, but I can't help any more than that.

Well, it's not important, but thank you for looking!  My favorite LAME version overall seems to be 3.98.4, and honestly lately I've been into Helix 5.24, ever since I used the -SBT switch set to 500, and setting VBR 85, I've been incredibly happy with the results and of course the speed :)

Instead of starting a new thread, I thought I'd just ask a quick question here.
Does anyone know the difference/advantages/disadvantages between LAME 3.99.5z and 3.99.5o?

In reading Halb27's description of them both, they seem very similar, or am I missing something here?

I think there was a 'y' and a 'z' and then several other versions culminating in 'o', but I'm not 100% certain.

As far as I can tell, '3.99.5o' dates from late December 2015 and was the last variant.
