Spectrum (Built-In Visualization) Limitations

The built-in Spectrum visualization is my favorite. I love how it works, how it looks, and how responsive it is. Honestly, it's nearly perfect. There are a couple limitations I've noticed though. Obviously this thread is directed at Peter.

1. After applying Replaygain and a preamp to prevent any clipping with my library, -60dBFS often doesn't show anything happening in the music that I can clearly hear during quiet passages. Would it be possible to extend how far down we can see with it by maybe 12~15dB? I think that would make it more pleasing to watch and possibly more useful. I know other visualizations can do this, but I prefer how the built-in one looks and operates.

2. Similarly to point #1, I have some bass-heavy music that goes well below 50Hz. As far as I understand it, showing lower frequencies requires more processing power, and showing down to 25Hz would require double FFT size of 50Hz if I'm not mistaken. The visualization already runs perfectly smooth for me at 240Hz with hardware acceleration on though, and I think it would be nice to show down to about 25Hz for systems with the processing power to spare.

3. Related to point #2, my monitor runs at 240Hz normally and my GPU has no trouble keeping up (and it looks amazing with very dynamic music). Foobar2000 only allows you to set the update rate with an integer ms value though, which means 4ms or 5ms (250Hz or 200Hz) for my use case. While not entirely necessary when using VSync, it would be appreciated if we could set the update rate in Hz/FPS so I could set it to exactly 240Hz or 120Hz for half refresh.

Please consider loosening these limitations for the built-in Spectrum visualization. Thank you.

I just realized 160-band is available, but I can't tell what the frequencies are since the labels disappear even when stretching across my whole monitor, so I can't tell if this mode does indeed show frequencies below 50Hz. In any event, I prefer the way 80-band looks, but I would love it if it could show further down into the bass. The other limitations still remain regardless of number of bands shown.
