how to setup fb2k to play DSD files via DoP?

I am getting quieter results on my DAC when I use the SPDIF/COAX input (192khz/24bit max). So I decided to use my Topping D10balanced which can act as USB-to-SPDIF converter.

I am now trying to setup DoP playback in fb2k but I'm having issues.

I configured fb2k:
  • I tried DSD+PCM / 88Khz (or 176Khz) and I get no sound. D10 is telling me it's still receving DSD streams instead of PCM
  • I've tried various "DSD2PCM mode" and still there's no sound.
  • I've also tried the DoP Converter in the "Other" and no sound.
  • The only way to get sound is to set "Type" to "PCM".
  • The only additional components I installed are foo_out_asio+dsd and foo_input_sacd. I am using the latest versions of these components.


Any ideas what am I doing wrong? Thank you.

Why don't you try playing DSD native on Topping D10balanced?

Output: ASIO+DSD: TOPPING USB Audio Driver Select
foobar Preferences > Tools > SACD > Output (per device) > Type > DSD

My TOPPING DX1, TOPPING DX3 Pro+ can also play DSD native using the same driver.

No point. Please play it directly with Topping D10 balanced.
