Concerns about artist tag field value

When using MusicBrainz Tagger, tag values are written as follows:
Likewise with MP3TAG and MusicBrainz Picard.

Artist Name(%ARTIST%) : 2Pac feat. Talent
Track Title(%TITLE%) : Changes
Album Title(%ALBUM%) : Greatest Hits
Album Artist(%ALBUM ARTIST%) : 2Pac
<ARTISTS>(%ARTISTS%) : 2Pac; Talent (multivalue field)

It's the way I want it and I'm happy with how it looks.

This is ListenBrainz Scrobbler.
Something is strange. The ARTIST field is not multi-valued.

X
This is last.fm Scrobbler.
If I change "[%artist%]" to "$meta(artists,0)", it will look like the checkbox option in ListenBrains Scrobbler.
But I will use the default settings.

And I use jscript panel3 lastfm bio sample.
Because it was set to $meta(artist,0), a lot of folders were created in the “js_data\artists” folder.
I only listened to one album, but since the featured artist was different for each track, a folder was created each time the track was played.
So I had to change it to "$meta(artists,0)".

As I encountered these situations, I began to wonder if I was filling out the Artist field value incorrectly.
Should ARTIST fields be written in multi-value only with artist names?
So why does the ARTISTS field exist?

In the past, " “,”,‐,`,’,‘,′,…,&,〜,‒  "  Because of these small letters, I've spent a lot of time modifying the lastfm Scrobbles.
Even now, similar issues bother me when I use Spotify, but...
Anyway, leaving behind these days of madness, I decided to match the album I have to the MusicBrainz tag standard.

foo_musicbrainz64 works great, just the way I want it to, but
1. Setting up some components
2. Scrobbling only the first artist on Spotify to lastfm
3. $meta(artist,0)
When faced with a situation like this, I have doubts about managing my %artist% field value.

No matter what I do, I will eventually have to review and edit my lastfm scrobbles when the time comes.
This is what I should do to see my total play count.
However, for the reasons mentioned above, I would like to hear your opinions on how the value of the %ARTIST% field should be written.
