After upgrading to foobar 2.0 x64, I can't Enqueue folder from Windows Explorer

Hello,

After upgrading to foobar 2.0 x64, I can't Enqueue folder from Windows Explorer context menu anymore.

Previously I can enqueue folder and audio file from Windows Explorer. Now I can only enqueue audio file, but not folder.

When I right click a folder, the Enqueue command can't be found.

Already tried to change the windows folder property, tried to change it to 'General Items' and 'Music', both don't solve the issue.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

Have you tried Preferences -> Shell Integration -> and check "Folder Context Menus"

If it's already checked, perhaps disabling it and enabling it again?

Yes, already tried that but it still didn't work. In the end, I just created a foobar shortcut in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo folder. Thanks for the reply.

I installed 2.0 x64 on a system with 1.6.16  16bit, leaving the old installation in place. So I had two complete
installs:

\Program Files\Foobar2000
\Program Files(x86)\Foobar2000

and I also could not enqueue folders to Foobar V2.0 from Explorer. But the Explorer "enqueue" option was still present and did send the folder - to Foobar v 1.6, which still worked and was still in place. I had to manually uninstall 1.6.16  -   completely nuke it - then rebooted, launched 2.0, and brought up the associations panel and checked the "Enqueue" option. Done and done. Easy peasy. I would recommend that anyone staying in the 32-bit universe on the path to V2.0 to pick a different folder name for the new install. For example:

\Program Files(x86)\Foobar2000v2

Because I was jumping to 64bit, the different path was created for me by the installer.

Hi,
I confirm: I had to completely uninstall V 1.6 , then uncheck / recheck all the Shell integration preferences.

Do you have the following registry key?
(Windows 10 registry editor)

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\foobar2000\shell\enqueue
DATA: Enqueue in foobar2000

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\foobar2000\shell\enqueue\command
DATA: "C:\Program Files\foobar2000\foobar2000.exe" /add "%1"

Same problem here, no longer have option to Enqueue Folder to FB from File Explorer since updating to 2.0 32 bit. Win 11 Pro 22H2.

foobar2000 v2.0 seems to fail to import the folder context menu setting. You can get it working by enabling it, hit apply, disable, hit apply, then enable again.

Sorry for replying to an old topic, but I want to leave a comment in case someone find this page from google.

I managed to solve this issue by unpinning my foobar from the taskbar. Mine was pinned to taskbar, so I unpin it and close it.

Then I run foobar as administrator. After doing this, I can set up folder context menu without any problem.

I seem to have a similar problem. I'm not sure if it's because of installing 2.1 because I've since reverted back to 1.6.17 since some components don't work, but if I select more than 15 files, then the default option becomes open with notepad. 15 files and less default action is to equeue in foobar. lol go figure. That's on windows 11.

edit: I upgraded to 2.1 and got components working with 32bit version but same problem persists.

FIXED IT!!!!

fixed it by right clicking a random .flac file > properties > opens with (change) > select most recent foobar.exe.

I was using the outdated foobar2000.exe, this is why it didn't work.
