Convert with silence removal at beginning/end of a song

Hey guys, I am a little helpless. There are some song which contain silence at the beginning/end and I want those silent parts to be removed when I convert into MP3. But it seems that foobar also removes silence in between the songs. Any ideas?

Sorry for the late response. I am looking for something like an addon which does it automatic. foobar has something included but does it on the whole song.

Try this DSP instead... Gap Killer 0.4.2 updated by Case. (There is also an alternate version 0.4.4 on the homepage there, not sure which is better)

Doesn't seem to be any doccumentation/explaining how does this addon work. Can someone please explain me? Does it cut silence only at the ends/beggining of the tracks or even in middle? How to set it right? I must look dumb but I just wanna learn something new I never heard of before.

EDIT: So I just tried it... I set the threshold to the lowest ("Digital silence only") and let the buffer as it is and made silent like 2 minutes in the middle of the track. For my surprise and pleasure, it actually removed only beggining and end gap. So I got another addon that helps me a lot. Thank you!

Is Case or anyone else still working on this? I'm looking for a skip silence plugin that will only affect songs with a particular tag.
