wine + pulseaudio effects crackling sound

Hello,
I use ubuntu mate 20.04 LTS with wine-5.15 (staging).
Also pulseaudio effects with equalizer activated. During playback there is a crackling sound in irregular intervals.  The problem is not the level. Does anyone know a solution? Does anyone here use pulse audio without any problems?

Are you talking about PulseEffects? I find that crackles with any program, even if you set it to use large buffers

yes, I mean PulseEffects. If this is the case and there is no working alternative for EqualizerAPO I will switch back to Windows.

I would suggest trying a different player other than foobar to see if it still crackles. If so, maybe raise a bug report with PulseEffects. It seems very popular so I assume it works well for some people.

Try combining it with sammoth's foo_out_pulse and see if that fixes the crackling?

You could also try using an equalizer DSP within foobar instead. Then the equalization is done before all buffering in foobar and pulse.
