Embedded Cue Sheet Editor on foobar 2000 1.4.6

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to embed cue sheets to audio files (flac and other formats). I have 2 machines. One with foobar 1.3.8 and another with v1.4.6. On the first one, v 1.3.8, i load the audio file, then right click on it -> drop down menu -> utilities, and Edit cue sheet, which allows me to embed the cue sheets.

Unfortunately, this function seems to have disappeared on foobar 1.4.6., or at least is not present under utilities.

I would appreciate if someone could point out to me how to retrieve this function.

Thanks

Nico

One more question, regarding embedding cue sheets.

I just noticed that the above mentioned method (right click-> drop down menu -> utilities, ->Edit cue sheet) works for single file albums (on large file), but doesn't for multi files albums (one file per track).

Is that a limitation on that function (embedding cue sheets) on foobar ?
If yes, does anyone know another software for embedding cue sheets on multi files album ?

Thanks in advance.

Nico

This knowledgebase article doesn't provide information on embedded cue sheets but it does explain what information the cue sheet contains and why it exists.

I'll see if I can explain.
If the cue sheet contains information about tracks that are in multiple files, then the cue sheet should not be embedded.
An embedded cue sheet should only contain information about the audio file it was embedded into. The embedded cue sheet should only reference the start positions of tracks that are within that file so if there is only one track in the file, an embedded cue sheet should only provide information about that one track.

hi korth,
thanks for your reply.
Actually the only purpose i would like to embed cue sheets to multiple files albums is to transfer the tag information to the file directly, as it looks that embedded tags are more widely supported by "hi-end" players than cue sheets. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
So is there still a way to do it ?

Yeah, i could do that, but i have a VERY large collection. Therefore i would like to avoid to have to start from scratch again. Furthermore that i have already done the job one for the cue sheets.
