WMA9 (Lossless) to AAC Conversion

I just purchased an iPod (30 gig) and MAC Powerbook.  I have about 230 gig of music stored in WMA9-Lossless format on my Windows PC.  I've been converting it to MP3 (96 bit rate).  I was told that AAC is a better format (more compression at same rate, etc.).  My question is, how can I convert my WMA9 files on my Windows PC to AAC on my MAC Powerbook?  Is there a conversion software that does this?  Thanks in advance for your help.

dBpowerAMP Music Converter will convert WMA Lossless to mp4 on the PC, you just need the right codecs from 'Codec Central'. Sveta Portable Audio will send them straight to your iPod.
