Monitor Audio Bronze speaker

Anyone have any experience listening to them?

I went to a friends house over the weekend and they sounded very treblish. Has a normal SS amp, not listening very loud either. They have metal dome tweeters. Is that why they sound sort of harsh? Not an expert on driver materials, just thought I'd ask the experts.

I've got a pair of Bronze BR1 or 2 bookshelves. I can't find them on the site anymore, and there's a Bronze that does not match mine, visually, so I can't tell if it's the same.

They sound perfectly fine, nonetheless. Definitely not overdoing the mid or treble. I have a few resonant frequencies because of the small office room I use them in, but when I moved them to the big room for party once, the bass output was excellent. I assume the bigger models have correspondingly extended low output.

I'm mostly a headphones guy anyway, since speakers hurt my ears after a while. I just wanted something good for when I need head freedom.

I have Silver RX6's and love them.. I'm not sure what the major difference is.

Maybe he had the treble turned up?  Maybe it was the recording?

You can't over-generalize about materials, just as you can't over-generalize about ported vs. sealed speakers.  I might be wary of a paper tweeter.

I know it was a year ago but you ever consider getting a notebook and writing some of this isht down so you don't forget?

I'm not talking about my speakers. Talking about the BX6's! Please stick to the topic.
