Not finding components of Foobar 2000 Free Encoder Pack to enable conv

Hi everyone:

With this I am advised to download/install the new Free Encoder Pack.  I did that, and it confirms being "installed", but the conversion function still behaves as though it was not installed.  How do I get the program to recognize that it is?

Using with iTunes and convert FLACS to Apple Lossless to play in that program

Thanks

Andy

Hi, you seem to be mistaken about what the Free Encoder Pack is for.

foobar2000 is an audio player. It happens to feature a converter component. The Free Encoder Pack allows that converter to encode to several formats.

It does not have any effect on iTunes.

Nevertheless, it does not work.  I understand how to use foobar as a converter.  I downloaded the requested free encoder pack exactly as described, even restarted the pc, but foobar does not recognize the apple lossless encoder.  Can you help/advise?

Thanks

I can't link it here, Google "foobar2000 Full Encoder Pack" and try that one.

If you don't want to encode to Apple AAC, then remove qaac.exe (foobar2000 will use refalac.exe to encode to Apple Lossless).
