Starting Foobar as a scheduled task at machine start-up under Win7

Hello All,

I have tried to make my Win7 PC start foobar2000 automatically at startup (I wanted this in order to have Foobar's Upnp module operate as a networked DLNA Audio Renderer)

I created a task in Windows' Scheduled taks (I needed the program to start at machine's power on, not just at user logon) as Administrator and set it to start a t system startup.

Everything works fine at first run, but then when I eventually let the machine restart after a system shutdown, when Foobar is launched by Windows it remains stuck. The Task is listed as "Active", bu in need to force it stop and re-run in order to Foobar to start correctly.
If I switch off Foobar manually, and THEN I switch the system off, then the task launching Foobar will become effective at next startup, and everything works.

Apparently, Windows is trying to launch foobar correctly at every startup, but the program will only start if it wasstopped manually at its previous session.

What can I do to force Foobar to perform a full reset at ANY machine startup, no matter what happend in the previous session?

Thanks
MW

You could try enabling "Suppress bad shutdown dialog on startup" at File > Preferences > Advanced > Tools.

Yeah, if you ignore the fact that foobar isn't being properly shut down, everything's great now

You might want to use foo_jesus to back-up your foobar in the event something gets corrupted.

I enabled "Suppress bad shutdown dialog on startup", but running foobar2000.exe as a task in task scheduler with trigger at startup (not login), to have media server functionality without logging in, the program window is not possible to open, not in tray, but the process is running.
