XLD: is it fine to use burst mode with AccurateRip?

Hi!

I've recently switched to Mac and I am new to XLD. I used EAC before, and I would rip my CDs in burst mode if AccurateRip gave good results, and in secure mode otherwise. I am trying to configure XLD in the same way and I just wanted to be sure that ripping in burst mode in XLD while leaving checked the "query AccurateRip" option was the best way to configure XLD in the same way as I had configured EAC.
Also, is there a way to make XLD check the AccurateRip database before starting the rip?

Thanks in advance.

The best way to configure XLD can be found here.  If you really want to do it in burst mode there's no reason for me to tell you not to. The results will be no better or worse than with EAC.

If by "check the AR database" you mean "see if the CD exists in the database" then yes.  It will literally display "AccurateRip YES" (or "NO") in the bottom left of the UI.
The Loudness War is over. Now it's a hopeless occupation.

I don't think "check the AR database" checks the CD, instead it checks the ripped files and if they are checked correctly and they are accurate I don't see any reason to not rip as fast as possible.
