Yes it would greatly extend decoding capabilities to unknown formats.

DirectShow decoder

Hi. What about writing configurable input plugin to use registered DS filter in system for decoding audio file?
This would be really great exttension. For example dbPoweramp has this extension.
The plugin should be configurable to define priorities when both foobar's decoder and DS decoder are availabe.
And should be configurable to choose which DS decoder to use if more DS filters supporting played stream are registered.
Please your opinions. Should not be so hard to write (no decoding library required, this will only link DS output to foobar API)
