My 5.1 setup with Channel Mixer

I've looked all over with Google searches, I set up something up but I'm not sure if it's the best.

I have a simple 5.1 setup (2 front, 2 rear, 1 center, 1 subwoofer) so I set my foobar2000 plugins with Convert stereo to 4 channels first then Channel Mixer on 5 Output channels and subwoofer active, with nothing else changed. It does play on the center speaker and the subwoofer is heavier. I'm still unsure though. Should I put Channel Mixer to 6 output? It does sound infinitely better now, especially Madredeus.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe it's just me, but I find that channel mixer seriously degrades the quality when mixing. I'm currently looking for an alternative to convert 5.1 to 4.0.
