USB audio, music stops mid tracks. error: 0x8889000F

Hi!
I'm using a Schiit Modi DAC (its a USB Audio device), and I'm on Windows 8.

While playing games or whatever, everything works fine. But while playing music with spotify or foobar2000, the music will stop in the middle of playing...
The Error i get in foobar2000 is 0x8889000f, which in windows-speak means: AUDCLNT_E_ENDPOINT_CREATE_FAILED
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee...8(v=vs.85).aspx

In normal english that means:
Quote
The method failed to create the audio endpoint for the render or the capture device. This can occur if the audio endpoint device has been unplugged, or the audio hardware or associated hardware resources have been reconfigured, disabled, removed, or otherwise made unavailable for use.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/wi...5(v=vs.85).aspx

The error is from WASAPI.

The USB device uses generic usb audio drivers. I have tried uninstalling them, and now it says "No driver files are required or have been loaded for this device."

I've tried disallowing powering off the USB root-hubs to save energy, and I've tried installing ASIO4ALL and increasing the buffer-size.
Nothing has worked so far.

Any ideas?
