How do I group various-artist albums + stop playback restarting album?

I am new to this forum. I have owned my digital front end for a couple of years now and the system is as follows:

ASUS Laptop PC (Windows 7 x64) / M2Tech Hiface Evo with Paul Hynes Power Supply / Naim DAC with Naim XPS Power Supply / Naim NAC52 with Naim Supercap / Naim SBLs

I used Foobar2000 when I first purchased my DAC but preferred the easier (IMHO) interface of JRiver Media Center. I thought that Foobar2000 would be worth revisiting now that it supported WASAPI output. I have installed Foobar2000 with the DarkOne skin and WASAPI component and everything seems to be working fine. I seem to think that Foobar2000 sounds different to JRiver Media Center 18 but perhaps this is just my ears playing tricks as both are running WASAPI output.

I still find that the GUI of JRiver is much better than Foobar2000 for browing through my albums but I wonder if there is a better way of doing this.

The main that I have is with album that are catalogued with 'Various Artists' as the album artists with the individual track performer tagged as the artist for each individual track. This works fine in JRiver and the album catalogues as a single entry. In Foobar2000, each of the tracks catalogues as a separate album. can anyone tell me the way around this?

When I play an album and it finishes, playback returns to the beginning and starts again. How can I set playback so that it stops?

Finally ... Here's the big one ... Is there any reason for Foobar2000 to sound better than JRiver Media Center or vice versa or should they both sound identical?

Thanks

The reason for splitted albums may be the sort order (i can only guess here, because in the DarkOne config the albums are grouped by %album artist%|%album%|%discnumber% and this should meet your need - so the sort order may cause the split).
The sort order is set to %path_sort%, so the albums are sorted like they are sorted in the folder.

For stop playback after current album: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=83743

Both players should sound identical (if you haven't enabled DSP's in one or the other)

Read #8 of the same terms of service, which proscribe claims about relative sound quality without supporting evidence and provide links to explanations of why such claims are almost certain to be imaginary. The fact that you book-end them with admittance that you might be imagining things is not a sufficient excuse for still including them; the rules are clear on this.
